Crime Summary: Person Beat, Robbed by Five Suspects

The following arrest information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Strong-Arm Robbery Suspects Sought

Police said a male was beat up and robbed by five people in Germantown on Sautrday, Dec. 8.

The attack was reported near Plummer and Fox Chapel drives at around 10:30 p.m., according to Montgomery County Police.

A detailed description of the suspects—males, between the ages of 16 and 24—was unavailable.

Police spokeswoman Rebecca Innocenti said the victim was approached by two suspects, who proceeded to beat him up. Innocenti said three others joined in the assault.

Innocenti was unable to provide information about why the suspects approached the alleged victim.

Car Battery Burglars Sought

Police are looking for two men broke into a secured area of Walmart’s automotive area on Thursday, Dec. 6, between 9:48 and 10:10 p.m. Police said the men took car batteries. A detailed description of the suspects was unavailable.

Clarksburg Car Theft Leads to Arrest of Rockville Teen

A 17-year-old Rockville teen was arrested following reports of a stolen vehicle in the 12800 block of Clarksburg Square Road. Police said the vehicle was taken sometime between the night of Dec. 4, and the morning of Dec. 5.

Damascus Church Burglarized

Pleasant Grove Church, at 11225 Mountain View Road in Damascus was burglarized between 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec.  8 and 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec.  9. Police said there were signs of forced entry and property was reported missing.

Poolesville Liquor Store Burgled

A commercial burglary was reported at the Village Beer and Wine at 19710 Fisher Avenue in Poolesville. Police said the burglary occured between midnight and 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec.8. Police said here were signs of forced entry and that property was reported missing. 

Attempted Burglary in North Potomac

An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 13600 block of Query Mill Road, North Potomac on Friday, Dec. 7 between 7:45 a.m. and 6:56 p.m.  Attempted forced entry; nothing taken. 

 

In other police news:

The Sunoco at 18001 Mateny Road was burglarized at around 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10. Police said there were signs of forced entry; it was unclear whether anything was missing.

A sexual assault was reported on Daventry Way at around 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4. Police said the suspect was known to the victim.

A residential burglary was reported in the 20400 block of Honey Crisp Lane in Germantown on Tuesday, Dec. 4 around 4:45 p.m.  Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 20000 block of Frederick Road in Germantown on Saturday, Dec. 8 between 11 a.m. and 9:20 p.m.  Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 19100 block of Alderham Court in Germantown on Tuesday, Dec. 4 between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.  No forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported at 20100 Red Gala Terrace in Germantown, between 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4 and 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5.  Forced entry; property taken.

Two thefts from vehicles were reported on Wednesday, Dec. 5:

  • In the 11600 block of Scarlet Leaf Circle in Germantown.  Property taken. Method of entry is unknown.
  • In the 21000 block of Scottsbury Drive in Germantown. Property was taken. Unforced entry

Two thefts from vehicles were reported on Maryland Manor Court in Germantown, between 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9 and 6 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10. Both vehicle doors were unlocked. A purse was taken in one event and a GPS unit and a money order was taken in the other.

A residential burglary was reported in the 11400 block of Mountain View Road in Damascus between noon Monday, Dec. 3 and 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10.  Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 20300 block of Beaconfield Terrace in Germantown, between 7:15 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.  Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 18800 block of Bent Willow Circle in Germantown, between 2 and 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10.  No forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported at 14045 Jump Drive in Germantown on Tuesday, Dec. 11, between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.  No forced entry; property taken.
