Crime Summary: Robberies, Thefts from Vehicles

The following arrest information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Vehicle break-ins

GPS units were reported missing after reports of four vehicle break-ins in the Gunners Branch Community early Wednesday, April 11. The thefts were reported at:

  • 19600 block of Gunners Branch Road
  • 11300 block of Appledowre Way
  • 19100 block of Staleybridge Road

Three thefts from vehicles reported in the Woodcliffe Community, on Schaeffer Road, overnight between Thursday, April 12, and Friday, April 13. The thefts were reported at:

  • 13900 block of Schaeffer Road: Wallet and two cameras were reported missing. 
  • 13900 block of Schaeffer Road: Cash was reported missing. 
  • 13900 block of Schaeffer Road: Cash was reported missing.

GPS units were reported missing after reports of five vehicle break-ins on Great Park Circle, overnight between Wednesday, April 11, and Thursday, April 12. Police did not provide further information.

Robberies

A strong-arm robbery was reported in the 18000 block of Cottage Garden Drive, at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11. Police said the suspect knew the alleged victim. Police did not provide further details.

A strong-arm robbery was reported at Germantown Road and Father Hurley Boulevard at 11 p.m. Friday, April 13. The suspect is described as a 25- to 30-year-old male, 6’4”tall and between 170 and 200 pounds.

Residential Burglaries

A residential burglary was reported at Wisteria Drive and Germantown Road on Monday, April 16. Police did not provide further details.

A residential burglary was reported in the 19400 block of Rayfield Drive on Monday, April 16. Police did not provide further details.

A residential burglary was reported in the 12900 block of Climbing Ivy Drive in Germantown on Friday, April 13, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
