Crime Summary: Strong-Arm Robbery Arrest, More

The following information was supplied by Montgomery County Police for Sept. 10–18. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 28-year-old Germantown man was arrested following an alleged strong-arm robbery reported outside of 18407 Lost Knife Circle in Gaithersburg on Friday, Sept. 14, at around 11:20 p.m. Police said the suspect attacked the alleged victim and removed property.

An armed robbery was reported at Shakespeare Road and Observation Drive in Germantown on Monday, Sept. 10 at 5:15 a.m.  Police said two male suspects assaulted the victim then left the scene.

Police are looking for four male suspects following reports of an attempted armed robbery on Wisteria Drive near Great Seneca in Germantown on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 11 p.m.  Police claim the suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and attempted to obtain property.

An aggravated assault was reported in the 19500 block of Frederick Road in Germantown on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m.  Police said a male suspect assaulted the victim after an argument.

A residential burglary was reported in the 20000 block of Appledowre Circle in Germantown on Monday, Sept. 17 at 9:15 p.m.  Unknown entry; unknown what was taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 24300 block of Newbury Road in Gaithersburg overnight between 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17 and 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18.  No forced entry; property taken.  

A burglary was reported at Damascus Hair Stylist, 26323 Ridge Road in Damascus, between 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15 and 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18.  Forced entry; property taken. 

A burglary was reported at Meadow Farms Nursery, 11406 Hawkes Road in Clarksburg, overnight between 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10 and 7:58 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11.  Forced entry; property taken. 

A strong-arm robbery was reported in the 19300 block of Circlegate Drive in Germantown on Monday, Sept. 17 at 9:33 p.m. Police said the victim knew the suspect.

A strong-arm robbery was reported in the 13000 block of Shadyside Lane in Germantown on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 11:00 p.m.  Police said the suspects knew the alleged victim.

Three daytime residential burglaries were reported within the Gunners Lake Community in Germantown:

  • 18900 block of Coral Grove Terrace on Monday, Sept. 10 between 8:40 and 8:45 a.m.  Forced entry; property taken.
  • In the unit block of Martins Landing on Wednesday, Sept. 12 between 7 and 11 a.m.  Unknown entry; property taken.
  • 12500 block of Country Ridge Way on Friday, Sept. 14 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.  Forced entry; property taken.
