Crime Summary: Vehicles Stolen, Armed Robbery at KFC Parking Lot

The following arrest information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department for the fifth district. It does not indicate a conviction.

Three men were arrested following reports of an alleged theft at Walmart in Germantown at around 3:40 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4. A 19-year-old from Silver Spring, a 23-year-old from Washington, and an 18-year-old from Montgomery Village were taken into police custody.

An armed robbery was reported in the parking lot of the KFC at 26141 Ridge Road in Damascus on Wednesday Oct. 3, at 1:30 p.m. Police said the suspect knew the victim.

Five thefts from vehicles and two vehicle thefts were reported between Monday, Oct. 1 and Tuesday, Oct. 9. Entry was forced in two of the events and airbags were taken in two of the events. Thefts from vehicles were reported on Middlebrook Road, Demetrias Way, Locbury Drive, Circle Gate Drive, and Pinnacle Drive. Vehicle thefts were reported on Crystal Hill Circle, and Middlebrook Road.

A residential burglary was reported in the 18800 block of Porterfield Way in Germantown on Thursday Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.

A residential burglary was reported in the 18900 block of Fountain Hills Drive in Germantown between 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8 and 4 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9.

Twelve thefts from vehicles and two vehicle thefts were reported between Monday Oct. 1 and Tuesday Oct. 9. Only one event was said to have forced entry and GPS units and money were most frequently taken. Theft from vehicle incidents were reported on Fountain Hills Drive, Metz Drive, Ansel Terrace, Tapwood Road, Cottage Field Lane, Wheatridge Terrace, and Brass Weel Drive.  Vehicle theft incidents were reported on Sparrows Point Place and Ansel Terrace, all in Germantown.
