Crime Summary: Weapons Offense at La Mexicana Leads to Arrest, More

A 31-year-old Gaithersburg man was arrested following an alleged weapons offense at La Mexicana Restaurant, at 13060 Middlebrook Road, at around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, March 16.

An aggravated assault was reported in the parking lot between Taco Bell and The Greene Turtle on Century Boulevard at 9 p.m. Sunday, March 17. A detailed description of the two males involved was unavailable.

A 14-year old male from Germantown was arrested following reports of a strong-arm robbery in the 18000 block of Mateny Road in Germantown on Monday, March 18, at around 2:40 p.m.

A 20-year-old male was arrested following reports of an alleged aggravated assault in the 25600 block of Coltrane Drive in Damascus at around 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 12. Police said the suspect is known to the victim.

An attempted robbery was reported in the 19700 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown on Friday, March 15 at around 12:15 a.m. Police said two males were involved, but were unable to provide a detailed description of them.

An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 13400 block of Whitechurch Circle in Germantown between 4 p.m. Friday, March 15 and 3:15 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Attempted forced entry. Nothing taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 13100 block of Shadyside Lane in Germantown on Monday, March 11, between 9 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. No forced entry. Property taken.

Three thefts from vehicles were reported in the area of Father Hurley Boulevard and Middlebrook Road in Germantown in the early hours of Monday, March 18. Vehicles on Thackery Place, Shipley Terrace, and Sweetgum Circle were broken into. Loose items such as iPod, cash, credit cards and a Bluetooth were stolen.

A residential burglary was reported in the 12900 block of Prairie Knoll Court in Germantown on Friday, March 15 just after 11 pm. Forced entry. Property taken.
