Germantown Crime Summary: Aggravated Assault, Thefts and Burglaries

The following information was provided by the Montgomery County Police Department. Arrests do not imply conviction.

An aggravated assault occurred near the intersection of Germantown Road and Wisteria Drive in Germantown around 8 p.m. Feb. 14. The suspect, a 22-year-old male from Montgomery Village, is known to the victim and was arrested.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 19900 block of Sweetgum Circle in Germantown on Feb. 15. The suspect attempted to force entry and was arrested. Nothing was taken. The suspect is a 32-year-old male from Washington,DC.

A vehicle-related theft occurred between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 16 in the 19300 block of Elderberry Terrace in Germantown. Unlocked door; laptop taken.

A construction site theft occurred at 20600 Seneca Meadows Parkway in Germantown between 2 p.m. Feb. 15 and 5:45 a.m. Feb. 18. Forced entry; construction supplies were taken.

A commercial burglary was reported at Pleasant Grove Church, at 11225 Mountain View Road in Damascus at 9:10 a.m. Feb. 19. Unknown entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 13900 block of Falconcrest Road in Germantown between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. Feb. 12. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 12900 block of Prairie Knoll Court in Germantown between 8:50 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. Feb. 13. Forced entry; property taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 12900 block of Barleycorn Terrace in Germantown at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 13. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.
