Germantown Man Indicted on Sex Trafficking, Prostitution Charges

Jean Claude Roy could face a maximum life sentence for the sex trafficking charges, federal prosecutors say.

A Germantown man was indicted on sex trafficking and prostitution charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland announced Wednesday.

Federal prosecutors allege that between Dec. 9 and Christmas Day in 2012, Jean Claude Roy, 30, tried to force three people to have sex for money and that he took them across state lines for sex and prostitution.

Roy—who is also known as “Dredd the Don” and “Dreddy”—could face a minimum mandatory sentence of 15 years and a maximum of life in prison for each of the three counts of sex trafficking, according to federal prosecutors.
