Germantown Woman Killed in Saturday Crash

Police: Colleen Nicole Bell, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene

A Germantown woman was killed in a crash early Saturday after her car struck a taxi, spun 180 degrees and crashed into a tree.

Colleen Nicole Bell, 20, of the 19100 block of Highstream Drive, was pronounced dead at the scene, Montgomery County Police said.

The call was dispatched at around 2:30 a.m. According to police,  Bell was driving north on Mateny Road, but as she entered the intersection of Mateny and Clopper Roads, she struck a Regency cab travelling east on Clopper.

Police said her Honda Civic spun 180 degrees, veered off the road and struck a tree.

The cab driver was injured but was not transported, police said.

The crash is still being investigated.
