Homeowners Find Pantless Stranger Sleeping In Doorway

Police: Man was found lying on his side with his pants around his ankles.

Poolesville homeowners say they were stirred from their sleep by a stranger lying inside their front doorway with his shoes off and pants around his ankles.

At around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, Montgomery County police were dispatched to reports of a burglary in the 20000 block of Haller Avenue, according to records obtained from Montgomery County District Court.

The homeowners told police that they were asleep upstairs when they heard a noise from the first floor. One of the homeowners claimed he saw a man lying motionless in the doorway. The other homeowner called police, the court records state.

The homeowner, according to court records, reportedly “poked” the man a few times “to see what he was doing,” but when he didn’t get a response, the homeowner went back upstairs and waited for police.

Police claimed that when officers arrived about 10 minutes later, they found the man sleeping on his left side with his shoes off, “pants around his ankles and feet against the front door of the residence,” court records state.
