Montgomery County Police Investigating Germantown Bank Robbery

The incident took place Monday night at the Bank of America on Germantown Road

Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division is investigating a bank robbery that occurred yesterday at the Bank of America on Germantown Road, according to a press release issued by the Department of Police.

According to the statement, the incident took place shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, and officers responded to the robbery, which was reported by bank officials.

According to reports,  a male suspect "drove up to the teller window, announced a robbery, and obtained an undisclosed amount of cash."

There are no reported injuries.

The description of the suspect is as follows, according to police reports:

  • White male of unknown age or height
  • A heavy build
  • Wearing a red sweater
  • Driving a light-brown Toyota four-door (or similar style vehicle) without license plates.

"No additional information is know at this time," said Lucille Bauer of the Montgomery County Police Department. "We are asking for the public's help with any known information."
