Germantown Woman Charged with Making Up Kidnapping Story

Woman told police she was kidnapped by a trucker, The News Journal reports.

Police in Delaware said a Germantown woman concocted a story about being kidnapped by a truck driver last week, The News Journal reports.

Police said that on Friday, Patricia O. Gallorini, 50, jumped into a stranger’s vehicle and pleaded for help, claiming she was kidnapped. At some point, she identified the alleged kidnapper’s vehicle—then reportedly got out of the stranger’s vehicle to return to the alleged kidnapper’s, the Delaware-based newspaper reports.

Detectives deemed the kidnapping story to be a hoax and said the woman was picked up in Maryland and willfully travelled to the man’s home in Milford, DE, The News Journal reports.
