Salon owner from Boyds faces sexual assault charges in Howard County, MD

The trial continues for a 55-year-old Boyds barber charged with sexually assaulting a teenage boy.

Jung Gon Kim, the owner of Scissors Sound Hair Salon in Ellicott City, MD,  is charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault and two counts third-degree sexual assault, according to Howard County Circuit Court records accessed online.

Kim is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old client in a storage room of the salon in October 2011, Germantown Patch has reported.

On Monday, the accuser recounted the events that led up to the alleged assault, telling jurors that Kim gave him long hugs after the hair cuts and had asked him inappropriate questions about puberty and masturbation, Ellicott City Patch .
