Police Asking for Assistance in Identifying Daycare Bandit

Police are looking for the pictured man who robbed unlocked cars at daycare centers.

Police are asking Germantown residents to aid in the identification of a man (pictured at right) who is believed to be responsible for four thefts from vehicles in local two daycare centers over the last three months.

On each occassion (once on Dec. 3, once on Dec. 6 and twice on Feb. 24) the suspect targetted unlocked cars of parents or guardians who had entered the daycare to pick up a child. He reportedly stole electronics, credit cards and cash, among other items. The targetted locations were and .

Photos (seen at right) were obtained of the suspect at a Rite Aid following the Dec. 6 incident. According to a police department press release, he is described as  a "black male, approximate age 25 to 35 years, last seen wearing a black skull cap, gray zip sweatshirt and dark pants."

According to the release, "Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the person responsible."
