Police: Damascus M & T Bank Robbed

Robber is still at-large.

Police are looking for a person who robbed M & T Bank in Damascus on Friday and have released surveillance photos with hopes someone will recognize the robber.

Police said the robbery happened at 12:51 p.m. at the 9801 Main Street branch. A man robbed a teller, placed the cash in a plastic bag and left the bank.

Police described the robber as a white male in his early 20s, approximately 5’10″ tall, with a thin build.  Police said he was wearing a red, Aeropostale sweatshirt with the words, “AERO 1987″ in white letters.

Police said the man, whose face was covered, wore sunglasses and a baseball hat.

Police have asked anyone with information to call the robbery section at 240-773-5100.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or leave a Crime Solvers tip here.  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest or indictment for this felony crime.
