Police: Driver of Pickup Wedged Between Tree, Home Was Drunk

At least one person was hospitalized for minor injuries.

A man was charged with driving drunk after rescuers found his pickup truck wedged between a tree and a home in Germantown late Monday, according to Montgomery County Police. 

Officer Janelle Smith said the collision occurred at around 11:50 p.m. a residence near Palmetto Circle and Dawson Farm Road. An adult male driver was arrested, but Smith was unable to provide further details.

Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Spokesman Cpt. Oscar Garcia said at least one person was hospitalized for minor injuries.

There were no reports of major damage to the residence, but a building inspector was expected to give another assessment, Garcia said.
