Police: Germantown, Silver Spring Bank Robberies Linked

Montgomery County police released surveillance footage with hopes of identifying the robbers.

Montgomery County police released photos of the men who robbed a TD Bank in Germantown last week and are now saying that the same men may have robbed a SunTrust Bank at a Silver Spring Safeway on Wednesday.

Police sent out images from surveillance footage Thursday with hopes of identifying the men. Police said they think the robberies are connected based on how the robberies were carried out.

The Germantown robbery happened around 12:30 p.m. June 10 at the TD Bank at 19501 Frederick Road, Montgomery County police said in a news release.
