Police: Man Shot in Germantown Home Invasion

A male was shot multiple times at residence on Onax Drive.

Update, 9:40 a.m., Monday, Aug. 5:

A man in his 20s was shot multiple times during a home invasion in Germantown early Monday, Montgomery County police said.

Multiple people forced their way into a single-family home in the 17400 block of Onax Drive, a fight ensued and the was man shot, said Capt. Jim Daly, a county police spokesman.

Police got the call around 1:30 a.m. and found the victim in the home with multiple gunshots.

The man was taken to the hospital.

The victim and the people involved in the shooting knew each other, though the victim's connection to the residence is unclear, Daly said.

Besides the victim, there were others in the home at the time of the shooting, he said. No arrests have been made.
