Police: Rt. 355 Reopened at Brink Road, Following Accident

One person was transported to the hospital for non-lifethreatening injuries.

(Updated 11:20 a.m.)  Traffic has reopened at Frederick and Brink Roads in northeast Germantown, following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning, Montgomery County Police confirmed.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesman Cpt. Oscar Garcia clarified that the accident occurred at Frederick Road and Greenridge Drive, just north of Frederick and Brink Roads, the intersection police shut down in order to accommodate a tow truck.

Garcia said one person was transported to the hospital for non-lifethreatening injuries. There were no reports of other injuries, Garcia said.

(Original) An accident at Frederick and Brink Roads brought traffic to a halt in northeast Germantown Wednesday morning.

Montgomery County Police received a report of an accident at 8:58 a.m., said Officer Rebecca Innocenti, who was unable to provide further details regarding the collision.

Innocenti said at least three police cars responded to the scene and that officers were there directing traffic.

Police shut down both directions of Frederick Road at Brink Road at 9:06 a.m., which Innocenti said remained shut as of 9:45 a.m.
