Police Target Drunk Drivers This Labor Day

Drive sober or get pulled over in Montgomery County.

It's Labor Day weekend and although your priorities may be enjoying the last weekend of summer at barbecues and parties with adult beverages, the Montgomery County Police Department in partnership with the Maryland State Police and the county sheriff's office is focused on one thing—nabbing drunk drivers.

Police will be running sobriety checkpoints through the state and in Montgomery County they will host their checkpoint from 11 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.

The enforcement is a part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.

And because they mean business, they won't be disclosing where the checkpoint will be in advanced.

So be careful this weekend and get a designated driver.
