Report: Daytime Germantown Heists Linked to 10 Regional Break-Ins

Police have arrested one suspect, but the investigation is ongoing, The Gazette reports.

The burglars behind four daytime break-ins in Germantown might be connected to 10 others in the Gaithersburg-Germantown region, a Montgomery County Police spokeswoman told The Gazette. 

Police have reportedly arrested one suspect, but they said the investigation was ongoing; Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Britta Thomas told The Gazette in an email:

“Neighborhoods and management groups have been contacted and provided with information asking for residents in their communities to report suspicious activity or persons to the police. Extra patrols have been sent to the area.”

In Germantown, burglaries were reported on Honey Crisp Lane, with at least three of them occurring in the 20400 block between Nov. 28 and Dec. 4, Patch reported last week..
