On July 24, county police in Germantown responded to a bank robbery at the Capital One Bank at 21117 Frederick Road. Police said the man gave the teller a note demanding money and made off with cash.
Police said the same person likely robbed a Capital One Bank in White Oak on May 22. In that case, the robber also used a note demanding cash, according to police.
Police said surveillance footage linked Washington to the robberies of Capital One banks in Germantown and White Oak.
