Vehicle Fire Disrupts Lunchtime Traffic Tuesday

Portion of Frederick Road closed near Germantown Road at around noon Tuesday, according to Montgomery County Police.

(Updated 3:15 p.m.) A vehicle fire near The Cider Barrel shutdown northbound lanes on Frederick Road for nearly two hours Tuesday.

Montgomery County Police responded to reports of a vehicle fire in the 20100 block of Frederick Road around noon, Police Spokeswoman Lucille Baur told Patch.

 In a tweet sent at around 1:45 p.m., police said the road had reopened.

(Original) Due to a vehicle fire, a portion of the northbound lanes on Frederick Road near Germantown Road has been shut down, a Montgomery County Police spokeswoman said.

Montgomery County Police responded to reports of a vehicle fire in the 20100 block of Frederick Road around noon, Police Spokeswoman Lucille Baur said.
