Montgomery Bicycling All-County Conference

The Montgomery County Civic Federation is organizing and hosting an all-county conference to bring together elected and appointed officials, bicyclists and bicycle advocates to brainstorm on how to get more people to use bicycles for routine trips such as commuting to work, running errands, traveling to entertainment and recreation destinations and getting to and from school and after-school activities.

As part of our itinerary, we would like to recognize employers - both in the public and private sector - who are actively and successfully encouraging and enabling their employees to commute to work by bicycle.

Could you help get the word out to your member organizations through your newsletter and any other means about the conference and our desire to know about their efforts, in advance if possible.  We would love to know which campanies are promoting bicycling, how they are doing it, and how well their efforts are succeeding.  We would particularly like companies that are succeeding to attend the conference and share their experiences with other participants.  And if there are one or two outstanding examples, we would like to honor them as "champions" of the "Bike to Work" movement.
