Leggett to Speak at Groundbreaking of Defense Contractor’s Building
Digital Receiver Technology Inc., which develops wireless surveillance products, was acquired by Boeing in December 2008. Nearly 400 of the company's employees work in Germantown.
Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is scheduled to speak Wednesday, June 8, at the groundbreaking for a new building of Boeing Co. and Digital Receiver Technology Inc. in Germantown.
The building in the Milestone Business Park at 12410 Milestone Center Drive is expected to be used primarily for government contract work.
Digital Receiver Technology develops wireless surveillance products, primarily for intelligence operations of the Defense Department and Department of Homeland Security.

The company, whose nearly 400 employees work mostly in Germantown, was acquired by Boeing in December 2008. Digital Receiver Technology now operates within Boeing’s Integrated Defense Systems’ Network & Space Systems unit.
Leggett is scheduled to deliver his remarks at around 1 p.m.
