Rice to Meet with Upcounty Residents
Clarksburg infrastructure, budget, Stringtown Road to be discussed.
Upcounty residents will have a chance to meet with Councilmember Craig Rice on Monday, June 27, to discuss the future plans for Clarksburg and other topics.
The meeting will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Rocky Hill Middle School, 22401 Brick Haven Way, Clarksburg.
The topics to be addressed include:

- The progress of the Clarksburg Infrastructure Workgroup
- The effect of the fiscal 2012 county operating budget on local residents, and
- Plans to improve Stringtown Road.
The meeting also will include a presentation on the revision of the county’s zoning code and how it could affect Clarksburg.
This will be the second town hall Rice (D-Dist. 2) of Germantown has held in Clarksburg since he took office in December 2010. At a January meeting, community members told him they needed a grocery store and other retail establishments, he sponsored changes to the Clarksburg Master Plan that could speed up the building of the community’s first grocery store.
