Visions for Vacancies: Future Home to Hotels, Assisted Living Facility?

Project plan submitted for 172-acre development off Crystal Rock Drive and Century Boulevard

Developers want to transform a wooded site off Crystal Rock into a cluster of hotels, office buildings and residential homes, including an assisted living facility, county records show.

The application was submitted to the Montgomery County Planning Department on May 23.  Last week, developers — referred to as North Village -- 270 Ltd.  — asked the board to push back the public hearing date for the project plan from August to November. A preliminary community meeting was held in December, county records show.

The Planning Board is expected to hear the request next week.
