Montgomery College Information Session on English Language Programs

The Center for International and Multicultural Students at Montgomery College’s Germantown Campus is hosting an informational seminar for adults who speak English as a second language Monday, April 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will take place at Globe Hall in the High Technology and Science Center, 20200 Observation Drive, Germantown, Md.

The program will highlight the many options that residents have for improving their English-speaking skills as well as cover the differences between the various English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programs available Montgomery College and in Montgomery County.

The event will have presenters from Montgomery College’s Adult ESOL program and its Workforce Development and Continuing Education program. Representatives from the Montgomery County American English Language Program, Montgomery Coalition for Adult English Literacy, Montgomery Works and local church and library ESL programs will also be in attendance. A representative from World Education Services will discuss credential evaluation–the process of transferring credits from courses taken abroad into to the U.S. educational system.
