Montgomery College Crunch Time: Feb. 25 to March 4

This week at Montgomery College Germantown Campus: Academic & Career fair, Transfer day, Guest art exhibit and a chance to audition in Rockville's "MC's Got Talent".

It’s crunch time!  Welcome to another Montgomery College Crunch Time for Germantown Campus.  Germantown Campus has several events for you this week, including an academic and career fair, MC transfer day and a motivationally-themed guest art exhibit.

Enjoy the peace and quiet this week on campus, as on March 7, construction is expected to begin on the new Bioscience Education Center on the south portion of campus.

On Saturday, Feb. 26, Germantown Campus will be hosting a career and academic fair in the High Tech and Science Center building from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  Kicking off this event is a Student Excellence Expo, along with a meet and greet with faculty and campus administrative offices representatives. The Student Excellence Expo offers a chance to learn what graduates from local high schools have been accomplishing at Montgomery College. A financial aid presentation is set to begin at 12 p.m., featuring information on how to apply for various financial aid programs. The event wraps up with information on transfer programs from MC to a variety of universities.  Admissions applications submitted at the event will have the application fee waived. To attend this event, you must RSVP here.

Transfer Day will be at the High Tech and Science Center from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2. This event is for students that are thinking about transferring to another college or university. Representatives from many colleges and universities will be available to answer your questions about scholarships, transfer applications and transfer requirements.

Just down the road, MC Rockville is holding auditions for  the “MC’s Got Talent” show until March 4.  “MC’s Got Talent” offers students an opportunity to show off their abilities and to compete for scholarships against other students. The talent show itself will be on April 1 at 6 p.m. in the Theatre Arts Arena. If you’re interested in registering for an audition, you can email your name, talent description and phone number to the Rockville Campus Student Senate.
