SVHS Students Shine at Frederick Film Festival

Students from Germantown's Seneca Valley High School took home top honors at the Frederick Film Festival.

Students from Seneca Valley High School's film and video department took first and third place at the Frederick Film Festival's student film competition last month.

The film "Germantown, P.M." earned the top prize and "Cocoa Puffs Crisis" received third place, out of sixteen entries across the region. The winners -- Jorge Suarez, Andrew Ahimbisibwe, Julian Suarez, Esther Weiner, Emma Levine, Lizzy Smith and Cheyenne Neff  -- were students in Jeffrey Baker's film and video class at Seneca Valley.

Michael Tully, a Sundance selected director for his film "Septien," judged the entries.
