For months, a group of residents, planners, public officials and school officials has vetted potential upcounty holding school sites. Committee member Alicia White told Patch days prior to Monday's meeting that she felt such discussions should be held publicly.

The committee's recommendation would be sent to MCPS Superintendent who will then submit the committee's recommendation to the Board of Education.
