Week in Review: A New Freeway, High School Hoops and Feline Friends

Take a look back at this week in Germantown news.

This week in Germantown was an eclectic one for news, with headlines featuring everything from pet adoption to breastfeeding education.

Last Sunday, high school basketball teams around the state learned their playoff seeding fate at the state draw. The Northwest boys lost their first-round matchup to Walter Johnson, ending their season, and the Seneca Valley boys beat Tuscarora to advance to the second round of play. The SV girls were beat by Quince Orchard by 12 points to finish the year. The Northwest girls received a first-round bye and will start second-round play on Tuesday, March 1.

Following several arrests related to a string of robberies in 2010, police displayed unclaimed stolen items on Tuesday in an attempt to return the property to its original owners.
