Pets of the Week

These animals at the Montgomery County Humane Society shelter are looking for homes.

Smokey: Pit bull terrier, male, neutered upon adoption; black and white, 11 months
Tag: 189
ID: A359425
Paw forward: Allow me to introduce myself.  I’m Smokey, and for a youngster, I’m pretty calm, easy-going and can even be a bit reserved at times.  You’ll find me shy at first, but sweet; the best way to introduce me to new people and experiences is to go slow.  I’ll do best in a calm, stable home – adults, with kids over age 12.  I haven’t been around many dogs, so the right kind of exposure to help me work on socialization skills will be most helpful.  I’m really willing to work and learn new commands – I already know Sit and Come.  Positive reinforcement is the best kind of training for me.  Please adopt me soon – you know you want me to become part of your family!

Spandex: Domestic short-hair, female, spayed upon adoption; white, gray and tab, 5 years old
ID: A359892
If you’re looking for a great pet, I’m your kitty. I’m a bit shy to new things and people, so please be gentle with me. But once I get to know you, I can be quite the companion. I am very friendly and looking for a new home. Come to the shelter and meet me today!

Rotini: Shorthaired rabbit and harlequin, unaltered female, white and silver, 2 years
ID: A358464
Here’s a happy bunny looking for a happy home.  I am outgoing and excited about meeting new people and making new friends. I love socializing but it’s best that I stick to adults and children older than 13. Take a trip to the shelter; I can’t wait to meet you!
