Bat Tracking at BlackHill, Open House at BlackRock: Germantown Week in Preview

Music | Tickets on sale for Southside Johnny and the Poor Fools
Speaking of BlackRock, tickets go on sale today for season openers, Southside Johnny and the Poor Fools, which performs Sept. 28.

Back to school | MCPS Back-to-School Fair is Saturday
Montgomery County Public Schools host its annual Back-to-School Fair on Saturday, August 24,  from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive, in Rockville. Highlights of the day will include student and community performance groups, appearances by local celebrities and health screenings. Outdoors | Bat tracking at Black Hill
A sunset tour aboard  the pontoon boat will employ an ultrasonic transducer bat detector to hunt down insectivorous bats. Please register and pay for all participants.
