First let me say that the food at Caspian is fantastic. I eat there quite often. The service is professional.I gave it 1 star b/c today I realized that my money is better spent elsewhere.I called in an order and asked for the steak filet kabob with rice. AFter I arrived and paid, I realized I normally order the beef shish kabob that comes with grilled onions & bell peppers.I went back up (I had already paid $13) and asked the person taking orders if he could please add onions and green peppers to my order as I realized I normally order the beef shish kabob and this time I got the filet but it does not come with the grilled onion and bell pepper. He informed me that what I ordered was the filet kabob and it was almost ready. He then went to the register and rang up the onion and bell pepper for an additional $3.17. I was alarmed at the price but paid because to me the meal is nothing without the grilled veggies. I vowed in my head to not make that mistake again and sat down to continue to wait for my food. After a while, one of the eat-in patrons came up to the register and spoke to the guy at the register in Persian. He dashed to the back and came out with some onions and peppers for the man. The guy had his wallet out, but was told to to put it away, no charge. I was floored.I almost spoke out but decided to never eat there again. I eat there very often and I am sure the guy recognizes me. I feel that all patrons should be given the same courtesy Persian or not.
