If the average CEO is paid $4.9 Million 52 weeks 40 hours equals $2,355 per hour. Average CEO pay.Read More And the Hopkins staff can't get $15. And don't forget the Koch Heads who rail against a $10 minimum wage. It's the big fat hogs that tip the average balance Dennis.

It's so easy to talk about what another person should make but frankly one's compensation for theirRead More job (unless paid by taxpayer money) is none of my business or anyone else's.
Dennis Gilpin April 17, 2014 at 09:04 pm
Roger, The " big fat hogs " and those "closely" associated with them. TheRead More Hopkins staff will probably get what they want or some sort of compromise. The minimum wage is an issue that has to do with both big and small businesses. If the economy is stagnant than the small businesses will be operating on a small profit margin. They will be forced to make decisions that might involve laying off people. Wish the economy was better but it is not. The reason they did the raise in increments was because of the weak economy. Still might cause problems with the work force. We will see !

There is always a reason for a price-increase - I can't remember ever reading about a reason for aRead More price-decrease. It's possible no one else has noticed this. Isn't capitalism wonderful?

The disease came from China! Aids came from Africa, other diseases come from Mexico but yet we letRead More people flood to this country and they bring those diseases with them!

The price of pork can also go up because the price of beef is up. It's not just weather andRead More disease, it's also cost of fuel.

Hearing some good things about Heather. Going to take a look but Gansler seems to be running strongRead More and of course Brown's Ads are good.
Bob Bobbers April 4, 2014 at 09:26 am
LT Governors usually don't far well in Maryland. That leaves us with Gansler. He strikes me as justRead More another corrupt politician who is only interested in himself.
MoCoRes April 4, 2014 at 11:45 am
Yes, Maryland arguably has good schools and jobs at the moment. But a quick trip around the BeltwayRead More will show you that Virginia and D.C. are progressing and developing. Do I think it's becasue of lax rules in those areas? Maybe but not entirely. I'm a Democrat and I gladly voted for O'Malley. But my biggest problem with progressives in Maryland and other places is they tend to be more interested in activism rather than governing. Should businesses be able to walk all over us and do whatever they want? No. But there needs to be a proper balance between attracting business and regulations. And I don't think Maryland has it right now. Regarding the next governor, I don't know Brown and Mizeur all that well. But I don't trust Gansler.

GO WEGMANS! And since the evil city of Westminster does not have a Wegmans (nor do they deserveRead More one!), it's a win win to take your hard earned dollars and spend it in a city that doesn't treat their residents as criminals! I used to feel guilty when I shopped at Wegmans. NOT ANY MORE!! Best food store on the planet!!!
Maryellen Brady April 1, 2014 at 11:00 am
Good for Wegmans, I sure hope they pay their employees well, promote from within and most of allRead More dont rely on taxpayers as does WALMART for their government corporate subsidies. Each WALMART costs taxpayers $900,000 a year. It would be good to know if WEGMANS is a real plus to the community, as is Costco.

Bryan Harz February 17, 2014 at 09:23 am
You are right. I heard from a friend on Saturday. I also saw a TV ad, but still, not enough timeRead More to take advantage of it.

Doesn't look good! Not good publicity for First Mariner Bank and I don't blame the investors ifRead More they take all their money now!

I dont trust any banks anymore. they all follow the same outdated rules which help them and not us.Read More they win and we lose. borrow money and they charge 19% interest or more. if I save money, they give me .001% interest. seems a little one sided don't you think?
