Gaithersburg Woman Wins $30,000 Lotto Prize
Jodi Quinn bought the winning ticket at a Safeway on Darnestown Road
A Gaithersburg woman is $30,000 richer, thanks to a winning Lucky Lines scratch-off ticket she bought at a grocery store near Darnestown, Maryland Lottery officials announced. Jodi Quinn purchased her ticket Oct. 19 at Safeway Supermarket at 12251 Darnestown Road. She said she didn't realize it was a winner until later that evening. “I was in total shock after I checked my ticket,” Quinn told state lottery officials. “I had to ask my in-laws and sons to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. This was the first time I’ve ever won anything this significant.” Quinn and her husband, Chris, said they planned to pay bills and take a family trip to Las Vegas.
