Germantown Woman Killed in Saturday Crash

Police: Colleen Nicole Bell, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene

A Germantown woman was killed in a crash early Saturday after her car struck a taxi, spun 180 degrees and crashed into a tree. Colleen Nicole Bell, 20, of the 19100 block of Highstream Drive, was pronounced dead at the scene, Montgomery County Police said. The call was dispatched at around 2:30 a.m. According to police,  Bell was driving north on Mateny Road, but as she entered the intersection of Mateny and Clopper Roads, she struck a Regency cab travelling east on Clopper.   Police said her Honda Civic spun 180 degrees, veered off the road and struck a tree. The cab driver was injured but was not transported, police said. The crash is still being investigated.

Man Struck, Killed By School Bus On Clopper Road

A 55-year-old man was struck and killed by a school bus Thursday morning, south of Germantown.

Montgomery County police released the identity of a Gaithersburg man who was struck and killed by a school bus on Clopper Road Thursday morning. At around 6:30 a.m., George Pezdirtz III, 55, of the 900 block of Clopper Road, was walking accross Clopper, just east of just east of Metropolitan Grove Road, when he was struck by a Montgomery County school bus traveling west on Clopper, according to police. Police said the school bus driver, Telma Elizabeth Ramirez, 57, of Poolesville, remained at the scene. A Montgomery County Public Schools spokesman said no students were on the bus. North Potomac Man In Critical Condition After Friday Crash With School Bus

Four vehicles, including a Montgomery County Public Schools bus, were involved in the incident Friday on Clopper Road just north of Game Preserve Road in Gaithersburg.

A 37-year-old North Potomac man was critically injured in a four-vehicle crash on Clopper Road in Gaithersburg Friday that involved a Montgomery County Public Schools bus, police said. About 1:15 p.m., Kent Behzad Karimi, of the unit block of Polk Court in North Potomac, was stopped in his black 2012 Chevrolet Equinox in the northbound lanes of Clopper Road, waiting to make a left turn into the driveway of Seneca Creek State Park, police said in a statement.  Karimi's vehicle was struck from behind by a white 2011 Chevrolet Express van, driven by Jose J. School Bus Crash Near Clopper Road Sends 10 To Hospital

Fire and rescue spokesman: One adult suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision on Game Preserve Road.

A crash involving a county school bus and several vehicles on Friday afternoon in Gaithersburg sent 10 people to the hospital, including one with life-threatening injuries, a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said. The school bus was carrying seven students from Germantown's Clopper Mill Elementary School, said Dana Tofig, a Montgomery County Public Schools spokesman. Seven children and two adults were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Assistant Chief Scott Graham, a county Fire and Rescue Service spokesman, tweeted. "We don't believe there are any serious injuries [to students]," Tofig said. "Some students may have been taken for evaluation at the hospital for precaution." The adult suffering …

Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Germantown Tuesday Night

Collision occured at Clopper Road and Village Fountain Drive

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Clopper Road and Village Fountain Drive on Tuesday night. Specific details about the victim and the circumstances behind the crash were unavailable Wednesday. A Montgomery County police spokesperson said the pedestrian was hospitalized. At around 7:42 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the 13400 block of Clopper Road at Village Fountain Drive, according to Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service spokesman Assist. Cpt.
