Montgomery County Police Place in Motorcycle Competition

The competition brought 135 officers, form 38 law enforcement agencies, from the Eastern United States and Canada.

Five Montgomery County police officers placed in the 31st Annual Mid-Atlantic Police Motorcycle Training and Safety Competition. The competition brought 135 officers, form 38 law enforcement agencies, from the Eastern United States and Canada to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg on Saturday, Sept. 26. Proceeds from the event went to benefit the Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) Youth camp, which provides emotional support and counseling for children of fallen officers.  The following officers placed in the competition: 2nd district traffic Sergeant Roy Russell 3rd District Officer Michael Kane 4th District Officer David Prange 4th District Officer Mike Ruane

Cops for COPS

The Montgomery County Police Department raises funds for the COPS charity through their 31st Annual Mid-Atlantic Motorcycle Riding Competition.

Montgomery County Police Officers showed off their skills yesterday in the 31st Annual Mid-Atlantic Motorcycle Riding Competition. Officers came from Canada and the Eastern United States to compete and raise funds to support Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS). The proceeds went to support the COPS Youth Camp where children of fallen officers receive emotional support.
