Bernice Pauline Colaco was last seen Wednesday
Police have asked for the public’s help finding a missing Germantown woman, Bernice Pauline Colaco. Police said Colaco, 36, suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and is without her medication. She was last seen noon Wednesday near her home in the 20100 block of Gunners Terrace. Colaco is 5′ 4″ tall and weighs approximately 250 pounds. She has dark hair and was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket over a hot pink hooded sweatshirt. She frequents 24-hour convenience stores and other establishments open to the public. Anyone with information on Colaco’s whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately. Callers may remain anonymous.

Update -- 10:45 a.m., Jan. 3, 2013 Police have confirmed the body of a man found in the ventilation shaft of an apartment building in Northwest Washington, DC, is that of a missing 23-year-old Clarksburg man, WTOP reported. Michael Steven Poe was found after a resident in The Haddington apartment building at 1840 Biltmore St. NW called 911 Wednesday night and reported an unconscious person, according to the report. The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding Abdul Soofi, who family members say has been unreachable since Feb. 24. Soofi, 46, was last seen at the18000 block of Cottage Garden Drive in Germantown. Police said he left to go to an 8 a.m. appointment in Upper Marlboro, Md., but reportedly never made it. Soofi is a South Carolina native who visits Montgomery County regularly. But police said he has not returned to his address in South Carolina, either.
