UPDATE: Missing Germantown Man Located

Darryl Xavier Brown, 21, of Germantown, has been missing since Wednesday, according to Montgomery County Police.

(Updated 4:34 p.m.) Darryl Xavier Brown was found safe and unharmed, Montgomery County Police said Thursday. Police said family members grew concerned when they hadn't heard from Brown, who has mental disorders, since he was last seen at his home Wednesday, Feb. 22. (Original) Detectives from Montomery County Police Department's 5th District Investigative Section are asking for assistance from the public to locate a missing 21-year-old man.  Darryl Xavier Brown, of the 18200 block of Kitchen House Court in Germantown, was last seen at his residence on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at around 6:30 p.m.  He is believed to be on foot and may not be wearing shoes. UPDATE: Teen Found Safe, is Back with Family

UPDATE 11 p.m. Nov. 9 -- Montgomery County police say that LeShae Esberry was "unharmed and reunited with family" tonight. Police provided no further information. ORIGINAL ARTICLE 4 p.m. Nov. 9 -- Montgomery County detectives are asking for help finding a Montgomery Village teenager who has been missing since Sunday. LeShae Esberry, 16, of the 9900 block of Forest View Place in Northgate was last seen at home on Nov. 6. She is a junior at Watkins Mill High School, where school administrators are “working closely” with police and family to find her, said Principal Scott Murphy. I refrained from comment yesterday when the alert was posted avoiding consternation for saying "she will be found" because, though all Amber Alerts have to be taken seriously, it is becoming the norm (e.g. for kids in G'burg & the Village w/increase in such alerts) to take off on whim w/o telling anyone. Vigil for Jane Doe to Be Held Sunday in Frederick

Missing Persons Network and state police mark 20 years since her body was found along I-270.

Sunday marks 20 years since a worker cutting weeds along southbound Interstate 270 in Frederick County found the body of a young woman. The woman, whose decomposed body was found down an embankment at the Baker Hill Road overpass, has never been identified and her killing remains unsolved. The Maryland Missing Persons Network and Maryland State Police will hold a vigil to bring attention to the cold case at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday in the parking lot of the Worthington Farm on Baker Hill Road at Monocacy National Battlefield. UPDATE: 13-Year-Old is Back With Her Family

UPDATE, 9 p.m. May 25 -- A 13-year-old Montgomery Village girl has been found "safe and unharmed" and is back with her family -- more than two weeks since her family had last seen her. Elizabeth "Lizzy" Devalle, of Docena Court in the South Village neighborhood of Montgomery Village, was found today in Germantown, according to Montgomery County Police. She had been missing since May 9. Foul play was not suspected when police publicized the case on May 20 after detectives' investigation had gone dry, police said. Thank God this had a 'safe outcome' where she was not abducted or outcome even worse...harmed. But, if that young girl just went off on her own (and after all the alerts and police time spent notifying the public & looking for her), she wouldn't be allowed out of the house again until she was 40!!!!
