Susan G. Komen '3-Day For the Cure' Sets up Camp in Germantown
The three-day event, taking place in Washington, D.C. throughout the Weekend of Oct. 8-10, starts with a "home base" in Germantown.
Participants flocked by the thousands this weekend to join in the Susan G. Komen "3-Day for the Cure." By the time the weekend comes to a close, participants will have walked 60 miles to demonstrate their commitment to end breast cancer. The event began in the nation's capital at National's Stadium and, throughout the course of Friday, more than 2,000 registered participants made their way into Montgomery County. By Friday night's end, they had arrived at their home-site, where they are camping out through the weekend, at Germantown's Phillip's Farm on Schaeffer Rd.
