Sweet Monty was saved by a local teen from life on the streets and is looking for his new family.

Monty is a true love bug. He’s a sweet, affectionate and playful pit-mix who just wants to be loved and be part of a family. He’s a handsome boy who’s only a year old and weighs in at about 60 pounds. Moment of Zen

Meet Zen, a gentle, sweet Shar-Pei looking for his forever home.

Need a little calm canine energy in your life? Meet Zen, a laid-back and super-sweet Chinese Shar-Pei. He's about five years old and weighs in at 50 pounds. Zen is a unique and striking dog who has a very gentle way about him, and just wants to be loved and to find his new place in the world. After being purchased from an Arizona breeder, Zen was surrendered by his owner, who claimed he was working longer hours and wasn’t able to care for him. Pushing students to four-year college and beyond may not meet the needs of the county’s future employers, while encouraging mid-level opportunities and job training would be more successful. “Forty percent of the …

The emphasis on these kinds of skills should begin in high school. Montgomery County only has ONE career and technology education center--what we used to think of as votech schools--and that is Thomas Edison High School of Technology, located in Wheaton with Wheaton High School. The County Council MUST support keeping these two schools on the modernization scheduled approved by the Board of …   more ›
