A 38-year-old man is facing gun and reckless endangerment charges for firing an AK-47 in a Gaitheresburg yard, Gaithersburg Patch reported Monday. At the time this story published, Kenneth Wayne Barney Jr. was being held on $20,000 bail pending a bond review hearing in Rockville Monday afternoon, Montgomery County police said. Police responded to a complaint of shots fired on Washington Grove Lane at around 11:45 a.m. Sunday. When police arrived, Barney reportedly told them that he had fired an AK-47.
