In accordance with the application instructions for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, Operation Xcel announces to Guilford County, its intent to submit an application for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Cohort 17 Grant. Eligible students and families of Operation Xcel will be served in the aforementioned areas.
The purpose of the 21st CCLC Cohort 17 Grant is to provide opportunities for eligible communities to establish or expand activities that focus on:
<ol>
<li>Improved academic achievement</li>
<li>Enrichment services that reinforce and complement the academic program as well as social and emotional learning</li>
<li>Family engagement</li>
</ol>
