ReplyIn no way am I placing blame on either party in this tragic incident as we do not know the circumstances, but something needs to be done on Great Seneca Highway. The whole thing is a giant drag strip where cars and motorcycles race. I hear them inside my home 2 streets away from Great Seneca. Lowering the speed limit does NOTHING but change the signs. I am pretty sure the signs don't read 80+ mph which is what a lot of people do out there. When will the police start, and I stress START, monitoring it. I don't know the last time I saw radar on Great Seneca Highway? This seems to be a justifiable place for some speed cameras if the police aren't willing to monitor what is becoming a death trap.

ReplyWashingtonian Center, across the street, hasn't been able to fill retail space for 5+ years, nor keep a number of places IN business. I wonder what makes this developer think they can do things differently. I am also curious what they will call themselves? I mean GAITHERSBURG? Really? This sounds too high class for Gaithersburg! Lakelands/Kentlands is already N. Potomac, so they can't have that.
Hmmmm, thoughts or suggestions? Far North Bethesda ? (grasping at straws and status) -

Lee Anne, the sign says you can't park there and walk off...you did, pay up, it is private property. Just because I have a driveway, does that mean anyone can park in it? I would tow you too!
And Christine, you should have had your receipt and it should have been time stamped, you should have taken it to the towing company as proof. Did you? Pay up. -

That would be tow not toe.
I would have let it go if it were a typo.

We should be better examples to our children and teach them to cross at crosswalks, at the appropriate time and not to stroll across. I don't know how many times I have seen a parent juggling the kids and groceries while illegally crossing the street either on a "do not walk" signal or not in a cross walk at all.
No more excuses!
