Germantown Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Crack Sale

Federal prosecutors said Kevin Walker sold drugs out of fast food restaurants and grocery stores in Germantown.

A Germantown man was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in prison with five years of supervised release for the sale of crack cocaine in and around Germantown. Kevin Walker, 43, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possession with intention to sell the drug, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland.

Walker admitted to buying powder cocaine, processing it into crack cocaine and selling it at grocery stores, drug stores and fast food restaurants, the court statement said. Other people obtained apartments and cars for Walker’s use.

Law enforcement tapped Walker’s cell phones and heard him make plans to buy and sell crack cocaine, as well as instructing other people to sell, the release stated.
